QUINCY, MI (WTVB) -There was a one car crash with injuries last night in Branch County where a car struck a power pole north of Quincy. The accident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Jonesville Road at the intersection of Quincy Grange Road in Quincy Township.
Michigan State Police say the power lines from the Consumers Energy pole came down next to the car and the female driver alone in the vehicle had to stay inside until repair crews from the utility arrived. The woman was transported to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
The Quincy Fire Department was dispatched to the accident and was on the job for more than 2 hours. Michigan State Police didn’t clear the scene until 11:00 p.m. Monday.
The name of the driver and other details concerning the crash have not yet been released.
