BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater squads were scheduled to play at Harper Creek Friday night but because of the weather, the doubleheader has been postponed. No make up dates have been announced.
In underclassmen boys basketball on Thursday, the Coldwater JV’s lost to Harper Creek 37-33. Tyler Scherer led Coldwater with 12 points. The Coldwater freshmen won their third straight as they defeated Harper Creek 45-43. Deandre Douglas led the Cards with 23 points while Zac Saeed added 10 points.
Union City defeated Concord 51-36. Brandon Roberts had 16 points for the Chargers, Nolan Shaffer had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Haiden Bigelow grabbed 13 rebounds.
In underclassmen girls basketball Thursday, the Coldwater freshmen lost to Harper Creek 33-32 in overtime. Abby Herman led Coldwater with 14 points while Alyssa Bach had 10 points and Marissa Cox had 12 rebounds.
