HILLSDALE, CO (WTVB) – Testimony in the Jay Scott Clark murder trial in Hillsdale County Circuit Court got done quicker than expected on Thursday afternoon.
After final arguments and instructions from Judge Michael Smith, the Hillsdale Daily News reports the jury deliberated for a couple of hours before breaking for the night.
They are scheduled to resume deliberations at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Clark was one of the two suspects charged in the death of 37-year-old Jeremy Alan Barron of Camden.
Authorities say Barron was shot to death somewhere in Hillsdale County February 8, 2017. His body was placed in a field off of Dimmers Road in Camden Township before it was discovered almost two months later by some Amish children riding their horses.
