COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County’s unemployment rate dropped to four percent in November according to figures released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
The Branch County jobless rate dropped from 4.4 percent in October and from 4.6 percent in September.
Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates during the month went down in 13 of the state’s 17 major labor market areas.
The Bureau also reported that total employment and labor force levels increased in most regions over the month.
Unemployment rates in nearby counties dropped in November. St. Joseph County’s unemployment rate was 3.6 percent, Hillsdale County was at 4.2 percent and Calhoun County was at 4.4 percent.
