BRONSON – (WTVB) – After interviewing three finalists Tuesday night, the Bronson Community Schools Board of Education voted to offer the position of Superintendent of Schools to Constantine Superintendent Steve Wilson, contingent on a site visit.
The school board hopes to visit Wilson’s district early next week and have a contract in place with him before the holidays.
If everything works out, Wilson would start his new job January 2, 2020.
He would take over for Rick Hilderly, who left Bronson in October after accepting the Superintendent’s job in Tecumseh, Michigan.
Board President Jan Byler said in a statement released by the district, “we were impressed with Mr. Wilson’s experience, energy, and commitment to students. We look forward to the positive influence he will have here on our students, staff, and community at Bronson Community Schools.”
According to his profile on the Constantine School District’s website, Wilson has been with Constantine Schools for 13 years where he served as a middle school teacher, a high school teacher, and as a principal at Riverside Elementary School before he became the district’s Superintendent in 2016.
