COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – To help celebrate Michigan Adoption Day, Branch County Probate Judge Kirk Kashian is giving thanks to families Tuesday.
A reception is being held today in the 15th Circuit Court’s Family Division Juvenile Unit at the Branch County Courthouse.
Adoption Day is an annual tradition that typically occurs every Tuesday before Thanksgiving. It provides the opportunity to highlight the importance of adoption and the needs of children in foster care.
Michigan has over 13,000 children in foster care and nearly 300 do not have an identified family.
