BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School 8th grade boys basketball A team took a hard fought win at Harper Creek 43-34 Tuesday night as their record improved to 2-1. Grant Carter led the scoring attack with 16 while Tyson Roby chipped in with 11 points and Zach Coffing added 10 points.
The Legg Middle School 8th grade B team lost to Harper Creek 37-11. Kaden Voyce led the Cards with five points followed by Miguel Pena four points. Gabe Wagoner grabbed eight rebounds. Miguel Pena had seven rebounds with three steals.
The Legg 7th grade A team beat Harper Creek 60-51 for their first victory of the season. Niko Downs led Legg with 21 points and five assists while Ayden Dirschell added 15 points. Kendall Austin grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Legg 7th grade B team lost to Harper Creek Tuesday night 41-17. Brayden Lackey had a strong game with 11 points.
