BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As part of the process for the running of a new fiber line, the Bronson City Council approved a METRO Act Permit request Monday night from Everstream who were acting on behalf of AT&T.
The line would run from the Matteson and Freemont Streets to the East Railroad Street water tower. City Manager Brandon Mersman told the Council the fiber line will be attached to existing Consumer’s Energy power poles in order to connect with existing AT&T equipment on the tower.
Everstream has filed the appropriate paper work and have paid a $500 permit fee.
In other business, the City Council passed a resolution which will allow the city to apply for a grant that would help fund upgrades to security cameras at Bronson City Hall.
