BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Girls Varsity Swim Team managed to get all six scoring relays along with four individuals and two divers into the finals of their conference meet which was held on Friday and Saturday at Battle Creek Lakeview. The Cardinals finished seventh in both the conference meet and in the final season standings as they had a dual meet record in conference meets of 3-6. Jillian McKinley was third in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 butterfly. Legend Szafranski was ninth in the 200 freestyle and 13th in the 500 freestyle. Randi Dudek was 17th in the 50 freestyle and 13th in the 100 freestyle. Leah Goodwin was tenth in diving while Mia Rzepka was 13th. Anna DeMeester was 15th in the 100 Breast.
The Cardinals continue their season with Rzepka, Goodwin and Layla Schoch competing in the dive regionals on Thursday while McKinley qualified for the MHSAA state meet in 2 weeks.
