BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council will be asked Monday night to pass a resolution which will allow the city to apply for a grant that would help fund upgrades to security cameras at Bronson City Hall.
The City’s property and liability insurance comes through the Michigan Township Association Par Plan which offers grants that reduce risk exposure for its members.
A sewer camera system bought two years ago was partially covered by a grant from this program.
City Manager Brandon Mersman is trying to get quotes to upgrade City Hall cameras to High Definition. More cameras may also be added.
He estimated the total cost is between $4,000 and $5,000. The grant would cover half of the cost up to $2,500.
