JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School boys basketball 8th grade A team won at Jackson Lumen Christi 45-30 Thursday. Zach Coffing led the scoring with 12. Tyson Roby added 11 points while Grant Carter had 10 points. Ethan Copas and Jack Ruden each had six points.
The Legg Middle School 8th grade B team lost at Lumen Christi 33-17. Gabe Wagoner led the Cardinal attack with nine points and 12 rebounds. Kaden Voyce and Dawson Brown both had three points. Miguel Pena had two points. Voyce had ten rebounds. Miguel Pena had nine rebounds. Willie Dunn had eight rebounds. The 8th grade teams will next play Tuesday at Harper Creek.
Legg’s 7th grade A team lost to Lumen Christi 51-39. Ayden Dirschell had 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kendall Austin scored seven points while Yave Mojica had eight rebounds.
Legg’s 7th grade B team had a strong second half but fell short to Lumen Christi 28-15. Brayden Lackey led the way with six points, Claudel Wischmeyer scored 4 points and had 7 rebounds. The 7th grade teams will play Tuesday at home against Harper Creek.
