COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School boys basketball 8th grade A team opened their season at home Tuesday with a 54-37 loss to Parma Western. Zach Coffing led the Legg scoring with 16 points. Tyson Roby added eight points while Eddie Pool had seven points and Grant Carter had six points.
The Legg Middle School 8th grade B team lost to Western 42-19. Kaden Voyce led the Cards with 12 points while Gabe Wagoner had five points. Nolan Coppess had eight rebounds. Kaden Voyce had seven rebounds. Kyle Litwiller had three steals.
The 8th grade teams will play Thursday night at Jackson Lumen Christi.
The Legg 7th grade A team lost its opener at Parma Western 45-30. Niko Downs had 17 points and Ayden Dirschell contributed six points for the Cards. Yave Mojica led the team with four rebounds, Kendall Austin and Vincent Broughman added 3 boards apiece.
The Legg 7th grade B team fell to Parma Western 49-8. Brayden Lackey had four points, Cristian Aburto led in steals, Sammy Palmerton and Claudel Wischmeyer led in rebounds.
The 7th grade teams will host Lumen Christi Thursday.
