COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Not all Branch County voters will be casting ballots during Tuesday’s off year election.
There are no state or national races on this year’s ballot.
Voting in Branch County will only be held for those in the City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Community School District, as well as those served by the Tekonsha and Reading School Districts and the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District.
Voters in the City of Coldwater will be deciding the Mayor’s race between incumbent Tom Kramer and challenger Dan Corwin. Coldwater First Ward voters will also decide a City Council race between incumbent Cisco Ortiz and challenger Emily Rissman.
Coldwater Community School district voters are being asked to approve the renewal of a sinking fund millage to replace the current one which expires at the end of next year.
There is also a sinking fund renewal question on the ballot for voters in the Tekonsha School District as well as a $6.5 million bonding question for Reading School District voters to decide.
The St. Joseph County Intermediate School District will be asking voters in their district to approve the establishment of an area career and technical education program.
The usual polling locations where voting is being held will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m..
