UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The “Giving Tree” holiday tradition in Union City will continue this year.
Forms are available at the Union City Village Office and will be accepted through November.
Families must have a genuine financial need in order to qualify. Gifts will be provided through sponsors for children 17 years old or younger who live or attend school in Union City. 18 and 19 year olds who are still in high school are also accepted.
Forms have to be filled out and returned to the Village no later than November 30, 2019. Tags will be available for those who would like to sponsor an area youngster beginning on December 1st.
All gifts are due back to the Village Office on or before December 19th at 4:00 p.m.. Instructions will be provided to sponsors with their selected tags. Gifts will be delivered on December 23, 2019.
Over 400 Christmas gifts were donated last year as part of the “Giving Tree” project which helped out 26 families and 78 children.
