COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -Michigan State Police troopers are investigating the Tuesday morning theft of a 17 foot camper trailer from Haylett Auto and RV.
Troopers say it happened between 4:00 a.m. and 4:50 a.m.
They report the suspect or suspects took the trailer from the storage lot on Lott Road and U.S. 12.
After pulling onto Lott Road and heading east towards Quincy, the trailer broke loose and ended up in the ditch.
A suspect fled the scene and left the trailer behind.
State Police say there should be damage to the rear of the truck and tow hitch that was involved.
