COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Even though he had originally planned to make this his last term in office, Branch County Sheriff John Pollack has announced he will be seeking one more term in 2020.
Pollack made the official announcement at the Branch County Township Supervisors Association meeting this week.
According to Pollack “With the passing of the Jail millage and the beginning of the construction phase, I feel it is extremely important to see this project though to its completion.”
“I also was Sheriff when our road patrol was drastically reduced. Now, after 6 years and with the support of the County Commissioners, it appears we may finally be moving to increase our road patrol staff. With your support, I hope you allow me to be Sheriff to be a part of that regrowth and provide you with the service and protection you deserve.”
Pollack is a 33 year veteran with the Branch County Sheriff’s Department, and also served two terms on the Branch County Board of Commissioners.
At this point there are no other declared candidates for the Sheriff position.
