PARMA, MI (WTVB) – After an exciting and emotional one point victory over Marshall last Friday, the Coldwater High School football team is back on the road Friday night to face the Parma Western Panthers.
The two teams have been mirror images of each other this season. Both the Cardinals and the Panthers are 5-1 overall and tied for second in the Interstate 8 at 4-1. Both have been beaten by Jackson Lumen Christi. Friday’s winner will qualify for the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs.
Coldwater won the first ten games of the series but the Panthers have won the last two. Coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB begins at 6:30 p.m..

Quincy travels to Springport Friday night with the winner keeping their post season hopes alive. The Orioles are coming off a 32-25 Homecoming win over Concord. They will be trying to beat the Spartans for the first time since 2014.
Homer (4-2 overall, 3-2 Big 8) at BRONSON (0-6 overall, 0-5 Big 8)
While Bronson is playing for pride, Homer is hoping to win their fourth straight and get to within one victory of qualifying for the post season.
Jonesville (5-1 overall, 5-0 Big 8) at Reading (5-1 overall, 5-0 Big 8)
Union City will host Concord Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field starting at 4:00 p.m.. Concord is 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the Big 8 while the Chargers are 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the Big 8.
