COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – No injuries were reported after a car went through a stop sign and struck the right front tire of a Coldwater Community School bus Monday afternoon at the intersection of Perkins and Elm.
Coldwater Police say there were between 15 and 20 elementary school students on the bus at the time of the accident which took place at about 4:10 p.m.
It was initially dispatched by Branch County 911 that three youngsters possibly sustained minor injuries. Life Care Ambulance and Coldwater firefighters were sent to the scene but Coldwater Police later said there were no injuries and no one was taken to the hospital.
Some parents who lived nearby took their youngsters home from the crash scene.
The driver of the car who went through the stop sign was cited by Coldwater Police.
The bus was able to finish its route as there was little damage to the vehicle.
