BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community School Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library to formally accept Superintendent Rick Hilderley’s resignation.
Hilderley announced last week he will be leaving Bronson to become the new superintendent of the Tecumseh school district.
Hilderley worked in the Tecumseh Public Schools district for 27 years as a teacher and school principal before he became the Bronson Superintendent in 2017.
He will be taking over a school district which has gone through a large amount of turmoil in the last couple of years which included the recall of four school board members last November. Superintendent Kelly Coffin was let go by the new school board last January. Since that time, the district has had four interim Superintendents.
The Bronson School Board is also scheduled on Thursday to discuss an interim Superintendent and how the search for the next Superintendent will be conducted.
