BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball Tuesday, Bronson swept past Jonesville 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-18) in Big 8 Conference action.

Cross Country—
The second of four Big 8 Conference jamborees was hosted Tuesday by Jonesville. Bronson finished third in the boys meet behind Jonesville and Concord while Quincy was fifth and Union City was eighth.
Bronson was led by Luis Ortiz who finished fifth. Aden Hathaway was ninth, Ashton Wells was 12th and Reagan Mayer was 18th. Quincy’s Erik Butchart, Rhett Reif and Jacob Reif finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively. Union City’s Owen Needham was 38th.
Jonesville and Bronson each had 49 points to tie for first in the girls meet but Jonesville was declared the winner based on the finish of their sixth runner. Quincy was fourth while Union City was eighth. Bronson was led by Abby Ware who was fourth. Grace Welch was fifth, Alison Fish was tenth, Danis Silva was 11th and Jenna Salek was 19th.
Quincy was led by Avery Rufenacht who was eighth. Makenzie Blatter was 15th, Audrey Wright was 20th, Elise Wright was 21st, Mollie Butchart was 22nd and Kailey Allman was 25th.
