COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County is not included in the map published by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services of the areas where they intend to spray for mosquitoes Monday evening in an effort to stop the spread of Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
Two of the three areas in St. Joseph County are in the northeast corner of the county. One of those areas touches the Branch County line.
Other areas are in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties.
The spraying schedules are weather dependent and may change.
The most up-to-date information will be posted at www.michigan.gov/EEE.
All other treatment zones will not be treated this evening.
The first round of spraying that was scheduled for Sunday night was cancelled due to bad weather.
