OTSEGO, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater High School’s Elka Machan lowered her own school record to 18:16 Saturday at the Otsego Cross Country Invitational. Her bronze medal finish helped Coldwater’s girls to a 10th place finish out of 21 teams in Division Two.
Kyle Foulk was the only medal winner for Coldwater in the boys meet as he finished 17th. Coldwater was 13th in the Division Two boys standings.
Bronson and Quincy Cross Country teams ran at the Otsego Invitational on Saturday in the combined Division Three and Four meets. Bronson finished sixth in the boys team standings while Quincy was seventh.
Three Quincy runners were in the top 30. Rhett Reif was eighth with a time of 17:19 while Erik Buchart was tenth and Jacob Reif was 24th. Bronson’s Luis Ortiz finished 11th.
Bronson was eighth in the girls meet while Quincy was ninth. Avery Rufenacht was 24th for Quincy. Bronson’s Abby Ware was 27th while Grace Welch was 30th.
