UNDATED (WTVB) – Mother Nature won the day on Friday, as the entire slate of high school football games was wiped out when storms moved through southwest Michigan late Friday afternoon. The games have been rescheduled for Saturday:
- Quincy at Homer, 12 p.m.
- Reading at Union City, 2 p.m.
- Jackson Northwest at Coldwater, 5 p.m. (Coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB and Facebook Live begins at 4:45 p.m.)
- Jonesville at Bronson, 6 p.m.
- 8-PLAYER: Tekonsha at Waldron, 7 p.m.
The storms also forced the cancellation of Homecoming parades in Coldwater and Bronson. At Coldwater, an impromptu Homecoming wrap-up assembly was convened inside the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium after it was announced that the game against Jackson Northwest was postponed. Jaxon Janusz and Merna Yaldo were crowned Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, while the Class of 2020 was named Most Spirited. Bronson’s Homecoming festivities will take place during halftime of their rescheduled game, with the dance to follow right after the game.
