UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – In high school volleyball, Union City dropped a pair of matches Thursday to Pennfield (15-25, 16-25) and to Michigan Center (18-25, 19-25).
Emma Dexter had 20 assists, Kassandra Kohsmann had 20 digs and three aces, Logan Allen had eight kills while Aubrey George had 17 digs and three aces.

The Legg Middle School Girls Volleyball teams took on Branch County rival Quincy on Thursday night.
The 8th grade B team lost in three game with the scores of 22-25, 26-24 and 12-15. Leading the Lady Cards was Yarsibel Martinez 13/13, 5 aces 1 dig, Jossy Martinez 7/8, 4 aces, Jordyn VanDogan 5/6, 2 aces, 3 digs, 2 assists, Kaylee Slusarski 6/6, 1 ace, 1 kill, Violet Cunkle 2/2, 5 digs and Lizzy Wainscot 3 digs.
The 7th grade A team defeated Quincy 25-7, 25-19, 13-15. On the night Coldwater was led at the service line by Eli Foley 15-15 with 9 aces, Zoie Wohlgamuth 8-8 with 3 aces, Alexis Rock 5-5 with 1 ace, Claire Hawver 5-7 3 aces, Ava Longstreet 4-6, Dakota Allen 4-5 with 2 aces, Avery Paarlberg 3-5, Grace Riley 2-4 with 2 aces, Mya Costello 2-3 1 ace & Miah Taylor 1-2. Foley had 3 kills on the night followed by Claire Hawver with 2 kills & Ayla McCowan & Zoey Jent 1 kill each. Coldwater’s record now stands at 6-3-1 on the year.
The 7th grade B team lost to Quincy 18-25 15-25. Leading the team on serving line was Harper Cummings 10 points. McKinley Kirk, Lexi Scott and Drew Sharpley each with 7 points. Kiyah Richmond and Maddylan Dixon each with a dig.
