COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Allen Avenue Reconstruction Project in Coldwater is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
The City of Coldwater says the road repair will begin on Allen Avenue, south of Race Street, and that the road will only be open to local business during construction.
Since the road is being repaved, officials are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible and be extra cautious if they are in the construction zone.
The Coldwater City Council recently accepted a bid of over $246,000 from Thompson Construction for the project.
The City has received a Michigan Department of Transportation State Transportation Economic Development Fund grant of over $169,000 for the project which officials say will support 62 new jobs at Envirolite and Sekisui Voltek.
