LANSING, MI (WTVB) – 58th District Republican State Representative Eric Leutheuser says the education budget approved by the House and Senate is a record high investment in Michigan students.
He says the $15.2 million education budget translates to up to $240 more per student with additional resources dedicated to special education.
The plan will soon be headed to Governor Whitmer for consideration.
Leutheuser says “this is a budget that supports families in Hillsdale and Branch Counties and the entire state. It will help keep Michigan’s economy moving forward by preparing students for success in the classroom and after graduation.”
According to Leutheuser’s office, the plan invests nearly $74 million in career technical education by increasing funding to $50 per student and by including $16 million in equipment grants.
