BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – All four Branch County high school varsity football teams are on the road Friday night as the high school football season enters its fourth week.
COLDWATER at PENNFIELD
The Cardinals will be trying to bounce back after losing last Friday at Jackson Lumen Christi. Coldwater is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Interstate 8. Pennfield is 1-2 overall and winless in two conference games.
The Panthers beat the Cardinals 26-7 last year after dropping seven straight to Coldwater dating back to 1976. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB.

The winner of the annual “Battle for the Bell” will remain in at least a share of the lead in the Big 8 Conference. Reading won last year 49-13 on their way to an undefeated season and the Division 8 state championship. Both teams are 2-0 in the conference and 2-1 overall.
BRONSON at SPRINGPORT
The Vikings offense came to life in the second half of last weeks 48-34 loss to Springport. Down 36-0 at halftime, Bronson outscored the Spartans 34-12 in the second half.
UNION CITY AT JONESVILLE
The Chargers are 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the Big 8 after their 20-19 overtime loss to Quincy last week. Union City won a 47-40 shootout last year. Jonesville is 2-0 in the conference and 2-1 overall. The Comets stingy defense has only given up 37 points in their first three games.
