MASON, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s girls high school swim and dive team finished fifth out of 10 teams Saturday at the Mason Invitational. Jillian McKinley added to her state cuts in the 50 freestyle. She also won the 50 free and the 100 butterfly.
The Cardinals host Battle Creek Central Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Browne Aquatic Center.

Legend Szafranski- 4th 200 freestyle and 4th 100 backstroke
Randi Dudek- 9th 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle
Leah Goodwin- 7th 1 meter dive
McKenna Hantz- 11th 1 meter dive
Layla Schoch- 15th 1 meter dive
Masyn Marsh- 15th 100 backstroke
Anna DeMeester- 15th 100 breaststroke
Cross Country—
The Bronson cross country teams competed in Division Four at the Holly Invitational on Saturday. The boys finished fifth out of 21 teams while the girls were ninth out of 18 teams. Bronson’s Luis Ortiz was 12th in the boys meet with a time of 18:00.2. Two freshmen finished in the top 30. Ashton Wells was 15th while Aden Hathaway was 24th.
Bronson’s Abby Ware was 21st in the girls meet while Grace Welch was 22nd.
The Union City boys cross country team finished 10th at the Mendon Invitational on Saturday. Colin Priest of Union City was 48th in the boys race while Kyla Burdick was 51st in the girls race.
