Middle School Volleyball—
The Coldwater 8th grade A volleyball started their season at Harper Creek with a 2-1 win (19-25, 25-17, 15-12). Leading the team serving was Bella Carrion, Caroline Miller, and Kennedy Clemens-Kulpinski with 6 points, 2 aces. Mackenzie Sheid had 3 kills while Izzy Pool and Hailey Price had one kill each.
The 8th grade B team lost to Harper Creek 2-1. Kay Dence had 6 aces and 1 dig while Gabby Bookmyer had 5 aces and two digs.
The Coldwater 7th grade A volleyball team lost to Harper Creek (14-25, 12-25, 15-10). On the night Ava Longstreet had 3 kills, Eli Foley & Claire Hawver 2 each. At the service line Grace Riley & Hawver each had 4 points followed by Mya Costello, Avery Paarlberg, Alexis Rock & Longstreet with 3 points each.
The Coldwater 7th grade B volleyball lost at Harper Creek 2-0 (16-25 18-25). Leading the team serving was Harper Cummings with 6 points and 3 aces, Lexi Scott had 2 points, Norah VanWagner had 2 points and Rindy Spieth had 2 points and one ace. Maddylan Dixon had one kill and Kiyah Richmond had 2 digs.
Cross Country—
Six Quincy runners won medals Tuesday at the 13 team Eaton Rapids Invitational. Three of the medals were earned in the girls 11th and 12th race. Audrey Wright was fourth while Avery Rufenacht was fifth and Makenzie Blatter finished 12th. T
wo Quincy boys medaled in the ninth and tenth grade race. Rhett Reif was second and Jacob Reif was third. Erik Butchart medaled in the 11th and 12th grade race with a fourth place finish.
