COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council will be asked to accept a bid Monday night of over $246,000 from Thompson Construction for the Allen Avenue Reconstruction Project.
The City has received a Michigan Department of Transportation State Transportation Economic Development Fund grant of over $169,000 for the project, which will support 62 new jobs at Envirolite and Sekisui Voltek.
The City of Coldwater plans to resurface the road. New gravel shoulders will be added and drainage improvements will also be made.
Thompson submitted one of the five bids for the project. City Manager Keith Baker says the work will be coordinated with the two companies so as to not disrupt normal truck traffic.
