BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has announced that as part of regular routine water main clearing, fire hydrants in the city will be flushed September 20 and 21.
The flushing will start at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning north of U.S. 12 and at 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning 21st south of U.S. 12..
City officials say water may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance during the flushing because it can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration. If this takes place, you’re asked to run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines.
The City also advises the public to refrain from doing laundry during the two days the flushing will be taking place.
