COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Middle School Soccer Club had their first games Thursday.
The Coldwater Cardinals, coached by Fernando Galvan and Mo Salem, defeated Quincy 8-0 at the AYSO fields. Three goals were scored by seventh graders Yahya Umari and Ghaibh Musa, and two goals scored by sixth grader Francisco Ramos.
The Coldwater Red Birds, coached by Mo Nagi and Sarah Langer traveled to Battle Creek Lakeview. Their game ended in a 2-2 tie. The first half was scoreless with a quick two goals in the second half by sixth grader Liam Clark and 7th grader Nabil Saeed.
The Coldwater Cardinals travel to Lakeview Friday night for a game at 5:30 p.m.. The Red Birds travel to Kalamazoo next Tuesday, September 10.
