COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Kentucky man who was brought back to Michigan to face charges in an alleged sex crimes case has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
38-year-old Travis Leon Howard-Kinsey waived his Branch County District Court preliminary exam which was scheduled for Wednesday on two charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13 as well as a count of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.
The alleged incidents involving an underage girl are said to have gone back to 2008. Howard-Kinsey was arrested after the alleged female victim spoke to the Michigan State Police.
Howard-Kinsey is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference in Circuit Court on October 14, 2019. His bond remains at $250,000.
