COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Another season of Tibbits Summer Theater has come to an end at the Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, and Tibbits Executive Director Christine Delaney told the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board Wednesday that the attendance numbers this summer were the best they have seen since 2006.
She said there had a lot of brand new people attend the shows. The offerings this summer included a presentation of “West Side Story”.
While the summer theater is over, the company is still in Coldwater. They will be presenting the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical “Next to Normal” which deals with the subject of mental illness.
The play contains mature content and explicit language. It is being presented Septenber 6-14, 2019 with the support of Pines Behavioral Health and ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
