HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – In high school cross country, the Quincy boys were fifth while the Quincy girls finished eighth on Wednesday at the Hillsdale Invitational. Quincy had three runners finish in the top 20 in the boys meet as Rhett Reif was ninth, Erik Butchart was 11th and Jacob Reif was 18th.
Quincy’s Avery Rufenacht was 22nd in the girls race while Makenzie Blatter was 24th.
The Union City boys were 12th while the girls were 13th on Wednesday at the Concord Invitational. The top Union City finishers were Owen Needham who was 49th in the boys race and Kyla Burdick who was 35th in the girls race.
Tekonsha also competed in the Concord Invitational as their boys were eighth and the girls finished 12th. The top Tekonsha finishers were Marco Barron who was 20th in the boys race and Dani Van Lente was who eighth in the girls meet.
In boys tennis, Coldwater swept the doubles matches and got victories in singles from Noah Waterbury and Kyle Sheppard, beating Three Rivers 6-2.
