QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – On a 5-0 vote, the Quincy Village Council selected the Michigan Municipal League Tuesday night as the search firm to find a new village manager.
The proposal from the M.M.L. was one of three submitted to the village. The others were from GovHR and Walsh Municipal Services.
Depending on a number of factors, the M.M.L. said in their presentation that it would normally take four months to have the new village manager in place.
According to the M.M.L., those factors include the timing of ad placement, the availability of candidates, Village officials and the needs of the Village.
Whoever is selected would take over for Eric Zuzga who has accepted a job with the City of Marshall.
Zuzga will still be helping out the Village of Quincy on a part time basis for the next few months.
