UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Senior Center Committee has announced that there has been a large donation towards the proposed project and it looks like things will move forward.
The fund raising deadline is less than two weeks away August 31, 2019.
Plans call for the old Putnam Funeral Home building to be converted into a multiple use facility not only for seniors but for other residents as well.
The owner of the building has promised to hold the building while the fundraising takes place. The total needed is $150,000.
The committee has set a deadline of next Monday at 4:00 p.m. for donors that would like to be considered for the building naming rights.
Donations are still being accepted as considerable funds are needed.
