LITCHFIELD, MI (WTVB) – A Litchfield teenager who was a Coldwater native died Friday afternoon from injuries he received in a Hillsdale County traffic accident.
18-year-old Corey Joseph Hall was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which took place at the intersection of Cronk and Sterling Roads southeast of Litchfield.
The Michigan State Police report the vehicle, which was occupied by Hall and another young man went out of control, left the road and overturned.
The other occupant of the vehicle who is 19-years-old had minor injuries and was transported to Hillsdale Community Hospital.
Hall attended Coldwater Community Schools, and then graduated from Litchfield High School this past May.
He was a member of the football, basketball, and track teams while in high school, as well as being an Honor Roll Student his senior year. He enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program while attending Litchfield and was planning to enlist in the U.S. Army.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Thursday morning at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
