COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater Police Department is looking for the driver of a cream colored Chrysler SUV who drove off Wednesday morning after striking another vehicle and injuring a 68-year-old woman from Litchfield.
The crash happened at about 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Sprague and Washington Streets.
Police say the suspect’s vehicle ran a stop sign and struck the woman’s Chevy Malibu on the driver’s side as she was traveling south. Her vehicle was then pushed into a neighboring yard. While the vehicle missed hitting the house by a few feet, the lawn sustained significant damage.
The woman was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital by Life Care Ambulance and treated for what were described as minor injuries.
The suspect vehicle took off in an unknown direction but a front grill was recovered. The injured woman was unable to get any license plate information.
