MATTESON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters from Bronson, Colon, and Sherwood spent all night battling a fire which destroyed a two story home at 1088 West Colon Road west of Athens Road.
The fire was reported just after 11:00 p.m. Friday night. The structure was fully involved in flames as the first fire crews arrived.
Despite the large fire, no injuries have been reported.
Crews remained at the scene early Saturday morning and police were still directing traffic. West Colon Road (M-86) was re-opened to traffic at around 8:37 a.m.
No word yet what may have started the fire.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office Victim Services Unit was activated to assist the fire victims.
