COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan Department of Natural Resources conservation officers in Branch County continue to investigate the illegal killing of two bucks on July 16 in the southern part of the county.
Conservation Officer Nick Wellman told the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday they are seeking warrants in the case.
No arrests have been made yet.
After being shot with a rifle, both deer were left to rot in a alfalfa field off of Himebaugh Road between St. Joseph and Mallow Roads.
