WHITE PIGEON, MI (WTVB) — Two people are in custody after a drug bust executed by the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) in St. Joseph County.
Detectives searched a home in the 500 block on East Chicago Street in White Pigeon around 7 p.m. Tuesday where they found about one ounce of crystal methamphetamine hidden inside the home.
They also discovered scales, drug packaging material, and money believed to be from illegal drug sales.
A White Pigeon man in his 50’s and a woman in her 30’s from Sturgis were both arrested and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on drug related charges.
Their names will not be released until after they’re arraigned.
According to SWET, crystal meth is primarily smuggled into the United States by Mexican Drug Cartels and then transported across the country.
