COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was wet on Monday as Branch County got its first rainfall in eight days but not as soggy as initially reported.
The MSU Extension weather gauge at the Bloom Dairy Farm initially reported 2.9 inches of rain on Monday.
But there were some disputes about the measurement after far lesser amounts of rain were recorded a short distance away.
The equipment was checked and an anomaly was found.
There have been reports of a half inch to one-and-a-half inches of rain falling in Branch County on Monday.
To the south, 1.4 inches of rain was reported at Angola.
