QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – One of five proposed towers for the $9.3 million Branch County 911 project would be located in Quincy.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman and a representative from J and K Communications made a presentation before the Quincy Village Council on Tuesday night for the proposed tower that would be located on Glenn Avenue.
Village Manager Brittany Butler said that site was chosen partly because there was no land available where the village offices are located.
Branch County and the City of Bronson recently negotiated the tower site in Bronson. Quincy Village Attorney Chuck Lillis also serves as the Bronson City Attorney and he wanted to see the agreement before the Quincy Council approves it.
It’s proposed that the other towers would be located in Bronson, Coldwater, at the old Lakeland Elementary School and in Union City.
Formal action by the Quincy Village Council is expected to be taken during their budget meeting next Tuesday.
