THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – An outgoing director for a nonprofit agency in Three Rivers is facing an embezzlement charge.
Randall Norton turned himself in on Monday and was arraigned in Saint Joseph County for allegedly embezzling nearly $20,000 from the non-profit Three Rivers Area Mentoring which is an organization that focuses on 1-on-1 mentor/student relationships.
The Sturgis Journal reports the Three Rivers Police Department was contacted last January by board members about the possible embezzlement.
Officials began looking at records after they noticed missing cash deposits and grant that were not applied for as well as discrepancies on their debit card.
