COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a round table with State Representative Eric Leutheuser and State Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey on Friday afternoon at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Coldwater.
Both discussed auto insurance reform which was pass by the legislature and signed into law by Governor Whitmer this past spring.
Leutheuser expressed confidence the bipartisan work on that legislation will lead to an eventual formula for funding repairs to Michigan roads.
Shirkey cautioned when it comes to road funding in Michigan, there is no perfect number.
Those who attended also discussed future legislation to regulate Amish buggies as well as several other local issues.
