COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team kicked off its season at home Friday night, shutting out Bronson 8-0.
Freshman Cara Miller scored three goals, while senior Marissa Cox had two goals and two assists in the win. Mia Leggett, Ezma Machan, and Masyn Marsh also scored, with the game ending on the mercy rule with 35:25 left in the second half. Machan and Marsh also had one assist each.
Taylor Robinson earned the shutout in goal, as the Cardinals outshot the Vikings 15-0.
They will travel to Otsego for varsity only action Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
