Daniel was born September 19, 1950 in Crawfordsville, IN, the youngest of five siblings that were separated into different homes in their young years. Daniel was blessed to be adopted by his true parents, Irvin & Mary (Bieberich) Worthman in May of 1955. Dan spent his childhood years on the Worthman homestead farm in Magley, IN. At the age of 9, Dan became the best big brother to his sister, whom he named Linda Sue.
In 1964, the family moved to rural Bronson for better farming opportunities. Dan graduated from Bronson High School in 1969. He worked in retail throughout the years, floral design and delivery. Most recently he had worked for the Wal Mart and Meijer stores in Angola, IN.
Dan was a devout Christian man with a strong faith. He enjoyed fishing and loved watching television and movies. Dan recently attended his 50 year class reunion, which was really out of his normal comfort zone. He was so glad he did, having a remarkable time. Dan loved most, his time with his family, especially during the holidays. He was the most unique and thoughtful gift giver and always seemed to outdo, bigger and better than everyone else.
Dan is survived by his children Tasha (Jesse) Kelley of Kendallville, IN, Bryce (Tyata) Carpenter of South Bend, IN, his mother Mary Worthman of Bronson, his sister Linda (Ron) Strong of Bronson, his grandchildren Elias, Drucilla, Alexis, Ta’neajah, Ta’tionna, Tamara; niece and nephew Stacy Grindle, Devin (Kristin) Grindle; great niece Matteson Grindle and many very close cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Irvin and being the youngest of 5 biological siblings, 4 have also preceded him.
