MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy honored two fallen linemen and provided training for three future employees through a special presentation in Marshall Wednesday.
The Consumers Energy Foundation Scholarships honor Jeffrey Creel, who died near Jonesville in 2012 and James Farrington, who died near Traverse City last year.
The $2,500 scholarships will assist selected recipients with their courses in line work at Lansing Community College and Alpena Community College.
The ceremony was held at the Consumers Energy Marshall Training Center.
