COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council has announced they have awarded over $16,000 worth of grants in this year’s cycle.
Funding went to five different programs and projects that not only impact youth, but also had youth involved in the grant writing process.
Receiving grants were the Lakeland Leaders are Readers program, the Branch Intermediate School District’s A.E.W.E. program which will use its grant to replace 10 backpacks and to buy nine reusable emergency beacons for back country emergencies, the Bronson Kindness Project through the Bronson Jr./Sr. High School, the Quincy High School Robotics Team receiving funding for equipment costs, and River Through Time (Formerly Civil War Days) receiving funding for their 2019 Education Day.
The grants are open to any program or project in Branch County that have long term benefits for the community and are geared towards youth.
